Former favourite midfielder Bertie Cozic, 35, had signed for Tiverton Town. The terrier type frenchman retired from professional football in 2011, and had been running a creperie near Exeter cathedral.
Bertie came from Team Bath, where he’s played a number of seasons under Paul Tisdale. He was one of Paul’s first signings.
Bertie played 166 times for the Grecians and scored 3 times. His first professional goal coming in a 4-2 win over St Albans at the Park.
Tiverton Town Manager John Clarkson commented:-
He hasn’t got an ounce of fat on him and looks very fit, he says he will give us a year and I’m looking forward to working with him.
We wish Bertie well.
