Tom Nichols to Stay as a Grecian
Exeter City have confirmed that 19 year old Tom Nichols has signed on for another year.
Tom has spent some time away from St James Park in the last 2 seasons, with loan spells at Dorchester Town, Bath and Hereford United. For Exeter he has now made 16 appearances, mainly as a substitute and has scored 1 goal.
Talking on the Official site, Manager Paul Tisdale said:-
Tom is a young player that was in the mix at the end of last year. He’s still only 19, and he had a terrific intro to the professional ranks, and young players will be up and down with their form.
We believe he’s a player we should persevere with because he’s got a real talent, and we’ve got Jamie Reid and Elliott Chamberlain too who have all got a chance.
We’re pleased he’s staying with us. He wanted to stay, and when it comes to the crunch at Exeter City we tend to back the young players.
