After 12 Games it’s Time for Some Numbers

With 12 games in, a quarter of the season has been played. A time to look at some numbers and these relate to goals scored and goals conceded.

We’ve scored 20 and conceded 19. We’re the 4th highest goal scorers in League 2, behind Port Vale, Gillingham, and Bradford City. However, we’re 5th in the goals conceded after Barnet, AFC Wimbledon, Aldershot Town and Oxford United.

We kept a clean sheet  just twice in those 12 games. Conversely we’ve fired blanks on 3 occasions.

Goals frequency is as follows (e.g. we’ve scored 4 goals once, we’ve scored 3 goals 3 times):

Does it matter who scores first? Yes, but not always:

Exeter score first and win x5
Opposition score first and win x4
Opp score first and Exeter win x1
City score first and lose x1
City score first and draw x1

All fairly inconclusive, really.
