It's great that he's got years left in him. 😂
does it matter when all that really matters at the moment is survival this season in this league

You misunderstand me (probably my own fault)
I was amused by your description of Swindon U11's

Here and there
Yanic is a solid player to have in the squad so I’m happy with this. Hopefully he can finally learn how to shoot with some power too.
Forty one goals in a career spanning 14 years? Good luck with that.

GC states "he's a brilliant ball carrier to get us moving up the pitch"
Which is a vital part of out tactical master plan, enabling the cut back, and passing between centre backs, before we gift the ball to the opposition.

Dont know what the delay was but I'm fine with this signing. We can't continue to lose players and he has put a good shift in when he has been given a chance.Looks like a player that will fight for the cause.

Totally agree but the worry is it took longer than needed to negotiate this signing on, imagine what it's been like with other targets playing hardball always a problem for us especially in January and especially with 99% of clubs being able to throw (relatively) silly wages at players compared to us.

For sure.

And whilst I agree that Caldwell probably hasn't lost the dressing room, Yanic's hesitance may well indicated that they're not feeling massively inspired either.

I don't know of course, but I imagine Yanic's weighing up of a short term contract offer is likely to be a lot more driven by prosaic stuff about life than 'buying into the project'

Well yes, but that will in part be because he hasn't bought into the project. Means to an end.

Do you actually believe this "buying into the project" stuff?
