Talking of the Dutch and Hamburgers, iirc when Macdonalds wanted to start operating there they ran into problems, as their product didn't meet the Dutch strict legal definition to be described as a "Hamburger". In the UK it was the 
fries that gave them problems, as the variety of spud they used was susceptible to "potato blight" and was therefore banned !
