If you don't mind my asking Stroudy, was this inspired by your trip to Turkey ?

Indeed Al, I bought it to read out there but being a rather slow and careful reader, and this being a book you cannot hurry, I still have just over half of it to go.

Knowing now the subject matter of the book, and the robust Turkish attitude to criticism of the birth of their nation, I wonder what they make of it, though I did see it for sale in Bodrum.

Just finished Lolita by Nabokov - what a way with words that man had. Not bad for a Rusky.

Now reading Crash by JG Ballard, an equally twisted read!
