from what i can make out the 8.23 train and 18.11 back is £51.00. by getting the 7.23 outbound makes the fare a lot more????
Not last night when I booked it wasn't...
....perhaps the early bird catches the train, eh? ;)

Just booked my journey - up on the 6.23 back on the 18.11 - I waited too long and to my horror the 6.23 had gone up to 41 quid for a single making the return £67 but if you book Exeter to Sheffield single, Sheffield to Leeds single and then Leeds to Exeter single the whole lot comes to £54 and you don't even have to change trains at Sheffield, just stay on the 6.23 as it stops at Sheffield. The 7.23 must be totally booked as no cheap fares at all

It's just as well that threads like this can save me, someone without internet access, from looking like a simpleton.

I didn't even know where Leeds was until now, never mind that they have trains that go there.

Staplers are the new biscuits.
I assume you'll be allowed to drink alcohol on the train, which you won't on the coach.

This is Dr Hook, downing a Bass, platform 2.

Booked my trains yesterday, but travelling from Newport so a cheaper £35. I'm on the 18:11 home too, and on the train that gets into Leeds at 1pm.
