That makes sense, the club commits to another £750,000 on the basis of "footballs a funny old game".....
It was just a turn of phrase and remember Rome wasn't built in a day.

No it wasn't, but may be it would have been if they hadn't sat back for the first three quarters of the building process and only tried to complete it in a rush in the final quarter.

I think if Tisdale had been involved they'd still be arguing over who to appoint as foreman to build it and even then they would have got Spartacus

I would imagine they would have got the planning permission sorted, but then the local Roman residents forum would have complained to the senate to delay it all. (swear)

Should that be the case then our gates will continue to drop younger supporters in particular will fall out of love with a Club which has openly admitted to having no ambition to progress and the downward spiral will continue.
