I think some of the football we played yesterday- such as the interchanges between Sweeney, Woods and Carroll often at speed when they looked in a tight spot on the right hand side- was top quality. Unfortunately we are still lacking when it comes to picking out players with the right balls into the box and if we could get that right, we would be a very good side.

Hartridge played really well as did a number of players and it was a great and well-deserved farewell for Alex as skipper but I thought giving him MOTM was overly- generous. That was Aimson, although Sinisalo kept Stevenage out on at least a couple of occasions with brilliant saves and he is a heck of a good keeper, on a par IMO with Cam Dawson.

Try their number 3 Sturtz, the left back.
Just reviewed Mr Evans's complaint about elbow - at 67 mins Reece Cole tripped their No 22 and ref played on. No 22 got up quick and ran towards Reece who ran towards him and forearmed him.
Apart from the 4 bookable fouls by their No 3 (post his booking for taking Dion out after a few mins) Mr Evans appears to have missed a similar forearm push by their No5 on Aitcheson in the D of their penalty area about 2 m away from ref.
Sorry Mr Evans - if you dish it out you gotta take it !
