Don't worry, this, along with the Whole Game Solution, means we're going to win the next World Cup and, most likely, every World Cup for the rest of time.

Norwich kids beating Peterborough 6-1 has really shown the competition in a good light..

Especially as Norwich U23s had a 28 year old French striker playing who grabbed a hat trick.

Quote Shaun Harvey - Chief Exec of the Football League - from July

“The new format is intended to...assist the development of the very best young players in English football. This will help us deliver more and better home-grown players which will deliver benefits to the national team and domestic league football at all levels.”

Proved to be bull****

£8 for Students for Chelsea U23rd and Swindon at home, Have the club forgot they use to charge £5 for students to watch League games last season? be amazed if any students were to bother.. Actually, If anyone at all were to bother.

From an ECFC stand point the 'competition' should be used for nothing more than to give our youth players game time

Backing Gary Caldwell, thanks Matt and good luck.
While I don't expect big crowds to turn up, at £10k per win we should be trying to win the matches. We have to play a number of players who started the last game or who normally start. If we still have injuries then we will probably have a similar side to Oxford, if not we should have enough options to play a stronger side.

I don't think it will happen, but if we got to the area final or final itself would be interesting to see how many fans went then. I want us to do well in every competition but doesn't mean I support the changes.

Do agree the students should be a lot lower however.

I hope we win the games in an empty SJP, take our prize money, get to Wembley and lift the trophy to a sea of empty plastic chairs.

If that can't happen or doesn't happen, I hope that there are 4 U-23 teams in the semi finals.

Here and there
I took a decision at the outset not to attend any of the games at any stage owing to the possible associated long term negative effects on the English league system.

Well said Pete; I fully support your choice.
