Were they the ones giving the Big Club Bertie B*ll*cks in the Flybe and all left with 5 minutes to go?
Yes, they slinked out as the 5th goal went in.

Typical reaction from ex Prem team supporters. They probably think that they are too good to be in L1, Well Owls fans lets get one thing straight, You're in L1 cos you weren't good enough for the Championship! You've been miss-managed for years, paid over the odds for crap players and are now paying the price for it. All the the other teams in L1 need to do is post a copy of your reaction in the dressing room and you will be stuffed more times.

You came down here thinking all you needed to do was to turn up and we'd bow in front of the "Mighty Owls" Guess what you flat capped, whippet eating muppets? We stuffed you well and good 5-1, Yes 5-1. Doesn't matter what happens to you the rest of the season perhaps now you will show other teams the respect they deserve and stop being so f*cking Arrogant!!! Just an idea like

I don't think that's right at all mate and I think you're reading too much into the comments from SOME Wednesday fans on that particular forum. Not all of us share that view.

We don't all view football through the same eyes and some of us had a reality check over a decade ago...some longer than that.

Most of us know why we're in this division, because we've been poorly run and playing sh*t football for a very long time, nothing else. My daughter has never known anything else but us being sh*t so she can hardly be arrogant about it. We are exactly where we deserve to be and have no right to be anywhere else. If we get out of this division this season it will be because we earned it, if not we'll be down here because others were better.

When me and the Young Un go to away games, ANY, away games, that club gets our respect and so do their fans. I loved this game yesterday, I loved the whole day, yes, including the arduous trek down there...so we got arseholed...so what? It isn't the first time and definitely won't be the last, as a footy fan you take these things on the chin...for every thumping you give one team you know there's a dozen coming your way. A lot of us have seen this coming for a while now.

Your team played well on Saturday, outplayed us by a long way and scored some belting goals. The second goal was applauded by me and several other Wednesday fans around me, what else can you do? It was good skill no matter who scored it.

We met some cracking Exeter fans Saturday, enjoyed talking to them, about footy in general, both of our clubs, expectations and all that, strange accents you lot have though ;) But that's what footy fans do when they meet in person, never mind this internet bollox, keyboard warriors and chest beating crap, we're all the same under the shirts.

I loved visiting the ground and I'll look forward to visiting again, if you count that as toadying then fair enough, it's not, it's a genuine comment.

My version of events is here...it's very, very long so if you're gonna read it all, take a week off work...

Well I hate to go against the feeling, but I thought we were a small club;

I expected Sheffield to beat us.
I think they are a massive club- we are not.
Our ground is poor compared to theirs.
Our away toilets are like something out of trainspotting.
Their playing budget is far greater than ours.
I dont know about their pitch, but we still havent paid for ours- what ever way you look at it.

Therefore surely we are a small club compared to them?

Here to be proven wrong as usual.
We have a much smaller debt than theirs. In fact Milan Mandaric paid only £1 for them. Financially speaking at the present moment we are a much bigger club than them.

We are the biggest club in Exeter, they are not the biggest club in Sheffield.

Love it.

May birtie big balls teams like Wednesday and the TV and the papers and any other so called experts continue to underestimate little 'ol Exeter. And before you know it, we will be in the championship.

And then people will scratch their heads and wonder how did they get there?

Because "we ARE Exeter" and we have a pretty good team, with an excellent manager and a club set up that is probably one of the best in the football league. Not to mention supporters who truly love their club and will do anything to help out.

There are no personalities, no bertie big balls in our team - just a genuine desire to do well for the team that continues to duck under the radar.....

EXETER CITY FOOTBALL CLUB.

Love it!
Absolutely Crocks, but I find it so sad that when city are capable of giving the best a good game, we are probably playing the best football for many a year, yet we only average between 5-6k. Yes I know the weather was bad for this last game, and 5.5k was a pretty good turn out, but overall I feel the local sporting community should be even more behind our club than they appear to be. We should be getting bewteen 5-7.5k depending on opposition.
I just cannot understand our people around here! For gad sake get behind our team before the bubble bursts due to the lack of finances!!!

Here you are mate.

We locked up and set off gingerly up the icy paths to the grounds…we were using every muscle we had in our legs to stay upright on a steep icy road…there we are in our Wednesday tops, Wednesday hats and Wednesday scarves…sliding about like silly Northern bassads when a bloke asked if we were going to the game…

Top effort.

That's not true mate.

We now have no debt at all as Milan Mandaric wiped it out completely
