A sad & sorry end.....Scarborough had a decent record in the FL after their promotion from the Conference in 1987(the first club to gain accesss to the FL by this method) & reached the play-off in their 2nd season.....Chelsea played there as recently as 2004..

My memories of the Theatre of Chips or Seamer Rd were the utter drenching during the Grecians first visit in Oct 1987,getting a bit of sunstroke on the next visit on a May Bank Holiday Weekend in 1989(It took about 3 hours for the coach to get to York due to heavy traffic) & of course the last visit,Farrel's free kick....A decent ground..Crazy that it all went to the wall.
