Got to know Dave quite well when i was the Supporters Club Commitee with him and of course seeing him around the ground selling the programmes. One of my last memories of Dave was visiting him at his home when he was quite ill, Although looking very frail he still had that spark and twinkle in his eye and loved just chatting about ECFC, After about and hour or so he was getting very tired so i said my goodbyes and left, Shortly after that day he passed away, I was glad i knew the man because basically he was a very lovely guy and his genuine love for the club shone through. To this day i still look at some of my old programmes and think of Dave. Can't believe its nearly 20 years since he passed though.
