Have you assiduously asked all those who have shuffled off this mortal coil how they voted in the Referendum Indo ?
Yes

Just starting to watch a documentary about "Forgotten Britain" produced by BBC World.
Filmed in Hartlepool.
Austerity cuts have damaged the city.
Police station half-empty. Few staff.
Drugs, people with mental health issues, crime...Lack of police has allowed drug dealing to thrive.

They all did, pretty much, Tavy. Greive and his ilk aren't the issue, never have been.

It's the brexiters that haven't voted for a deal, and are likely not to vote for Boris' deal that are the real problem.
That's why the ERG will mostly fall behind a Boris deal. They don't want to be seen as the blockers any more. Maybe the DUP will fall in line too. Then the tide will be out and we'll find out the real blockers who'll then squarely get the blame and be the focus of ire of the increasing many who just want to see the whole feckin thing over and done with. Labour, with all their weasel words will be fully in the crosshairs.

But the other day when I outlined the reasons Labour was opposing the May/Johnson deal you said I made a fair point. Now you're back to calling Labours position "weasel words". Make your mind up!

Well Jinxy, if you're right and that happens, there's a majority, so the only weaseling will be from the people who didn't back the previous deal because of the backstop, but will sign this off because it has a different name...

That could be any city in the midlands or north of England..I have visited Hartlepool many times over the past 40 years.it’s better now than it was in the 1980s !!

The huge disconnect politically in similar places In the north compared to towns in the South & South East is a real problem for this country whatever happens in the next few months.

We have to do better as a nation. Too many people are struggling to survive, with all the awful side effects.

Thoroughly depressing things in the real world

The government has meanwhile spent £25b of taxpayers money on Help to buy which has multiplied the profits of house builders & helped 75% of those who have used the scheme to buy a bigger house(many on incomes of 100k plus)

The disfunction of the UK in housing summed up.

So you would prefer a hardline Marxist to a soppy Marxist?
