I must admit the pitch looked poor, the groundsman has left the grass to grow to long, and when he has lowered the cutters on the grass machine it has cut into grass that hasn't seen sunlight so appears yellow, after a few days of sun on it and a good feed and water the pitch will look 100% better.

Spoke to BIG Dave beforehand, (that's the genuine article, the Grecian BIG Dave) he said Tis had insisted on at least three haircuts the week before, to suit our sophisticated passing game.

Pitch didn't cut up at all, ball ran true, and the fact it ain't green is fine by me.
