So perhaps it helped Stockport yesterday?

difficult to say. at st mary's we had a very good spell in the second half when we played football! but yeah they play week in week out on a superior surface so you would think that to be the case.

i would normally say that it's not worth comparing how we play on our home pitch to the better away surfaces because we would setup the team to play a different style. this hasn't been the case this year though as we have tended to be 4-5-1 home or away....

You have to deal with what is in front of you. If Tis thinks the pitch is so bad then play a more direct tactic with 2 big lads up front and try that, rather than play it on the floor then moan about it after. Not rocket science.

We only play 23 times on that pitch in the league so if it is the pitch why aint the results away from home better? Plus its the same for the other team who come to SJP and they seem to cope ok

Wondering if I'm on a different planet
Personally I think all the talk of the poor pitch is affecting their confidence in their own ability

the pitch against Leeds was poor, possibly helping us against a better footballing side
Well I would say it was more to do with the wheels falling off Leeds than to do with the pitch.

The pitch is cack. End of

We have Lez, hundreds of tonnes of it. The pitch has no life in it, the ball doesn't bounce or run true and what happens once it lands is anyone's guess. You can see it too in certain areas, like the one about three or four metres in front of the dugouts - there's an area there with footprints that are ankle deep, yet there are other areas where it's lovely underfoot.

Shabba is right, it's cack.

Probably worth pointing out that there is a new playing surface installed at the Cat & Fiddle. So in this respect, the pitch at SJP is going to be far worse than at the Cat & Fiddle.
