Says money spent on transfers and hoped results would be better than previous season. Well 1923/24 slightly better than 1922/23 and 1924/25 much better.

I remember it well Pete !

The early pioneers and those who have followed in their footsteps have constantly had to grapple with the lack of money. In some respects that's not been a bad thing in that supporters are well versed in it and primed to regularly come to the club's aid to ensure its survival. The current Trust scenario is probably the soundest financial situation ECFC has ever been in for a continuous period of 20 years . All Grecians should be SO proud of that.

How many other EFL and premier League clubs trade in the black? We might be a small club but Financial Prudence is absolutely key. Just ask the supporters of Scunthorpe, Chester, Darlington , Bury , Workington and Oldham 9 who were founder members of the premier league !) what they think.

Nah, rubbish!

Tim Martin, Chris Martin, Freddie Starr, Nigel Mansell, Michael Caine, Richard Hooker, that bloke out of casualty, Ben Bradsure, Wishbone Ash, The Strawbs, Lord Palmerston, Tommy Cooper, Noel Edmonds, Joss Stone, Paul Tisdale, are all aching to squander their millions on taking City to the highest of highs!

Give private ownership a chance!

Sturtz, you've just provided me with a brilliant list for a 'your boys took one hell of a beating' style tirade if we're able to overcome City in December (hopefully starts at the right point).
