Ollie substituted at half time but Toney also had a relatively unsuccessful evening so nothing in particular for Southgate to take notice of.
Wouldn't say that. Toney absolutely terrorised 4 United centre backs tonight. His finishing wasn't on point but his all round game tonight was quality. Brilliant assist for the goal and some of his touches and efforts were great.

I know we all favour Ollie but I like watching Toney a lot.

I was wondering what game Sexton was watching also. Hit the post, really unlucky to have a quality finish disallowed and then set up the equaliser.

Probably will be if Ollie really has a hamstring problem.

He wasn’t ’really unlucky’, he was offside. Offside’s offside, there’s no ‘unlucky’ about it.

Hopefully his hammy will only keep him out a short while and he can be fresh for the Euros

Not looking very promising missed Villa’s game with Man City tonight with injury.

Really gutted for him because one thing is certain Southgate will not risk taking him unless he is fully fit.

Hopefully he will have time to prove his fitness but I think it’s going to be very much touch and go for him now 🤞crossed for him to be able to make it.

Personally think Toney goes ahead of Watkins. Suits Southgate’s system better.

Think he goes. Can’t fault your point, but you need defensive cover, not attacking cover. Options are needed in attack, and Toney is the lesser one of those.
