I've loads of them with films, kids stuff etc on them. Any idea what can be done with them? Is there any recycling company that I can send them to. I don't want to chuck them into a Devonian landfill! HELP!

They can be put into your green re-cycling bin Rog, I checked at the civic centre a few months back and the g

Give them to charity... I'm sure there's a charity company down the A38 who might like them.

Not sure that was the image Rog had in mind......he defo wanted someone to sit and enjoy watching them I'm sure rather than melting them down and converting them into a fleece jacket or a plastic duck.*-)

I tried to take a bag of old vids to the charity shop back along and none of them would take them as they can't sell them.

You hold onto them. VHS will make a come back, for sure.
People like the fact that when you borrow a 'vid' from Blockbusters, they are able to rewind back to the beginning for the next client. You have control at the push of a button - a nice touch! You can also do this at libraries. Can you rewind DVDs back to the beginning when you borrow from lending libraries? No, you can't!
You just can't do this with a DVD. Plus, VHS videos are compact and long-lasting. They never get chewed uop (unlike BluRay) and don't take up any room, again, unlike those wretched and very cumbersome BluRay discs.
It was also a big pity that Betamax never got big in Dixons.

BTW. Don't listen to City Girl. Charity shops are just using you! They sell on your videos for £1 and the proceeds go towards their charity. What a rip off!
