tend to agree. The club's view was perhaps given by choosing to take Hamer on loan and playing him for 3 months in preference to Artur.

I too think Artur will be good, but first choice at 21 is a big ask for a keeper.
I would like Hamer back for next season be it loan or permanent

Roy Carroll has apparently signed for Barnet as a player-coach.

I'd be more than happy with Hamer too.

The defence looked a lot more confident with him behind them.

It won't be John Sullivan, released by Millwall. He's gone to Charlton.

Extremely competent 'keeper, a little long in the tooth, but I think he'd be worth a years ticket.

Shane Higgs, Owain Fon Williams, Joe Anyon (possibly)... Ben Hamer, to name a few...

Would be a good shout. He had some good games for Wolves last season until he lost his place in the team to Henessey. Isn't it funny but you can have the best team in the world and still you are the mercy of your goalkeeper. Look how many goalkeepers Fergie tried after the departure of Schmeikel and the arrival of Van de Saar, Tottenham with Gomez and not to mention Arsenal with their band of average goalkeepers. The point is that if the aforementioned clubs, with more money than sense, cannot get it right then what chance has poor old Tisdale with no money and a remit to search around the free transfer bargain bucket.
