Young Daniel may be lazy however he has very quick feet.

You cannot teach quick feet.

I don't think he is lazy, just some times the game goes past him. He needs to be built around, but not sure we have the others to do it, time will tell.

I don't think he's lazy either but he does seem down at the moment.

He's always been moody but I suspect:

a) he's still carrying an injury

b) he doesn't like the role Tis is asking him to play, as you say he likes the team to be built round him

c) he misses Harley's passing to his feet. His skill is taking the ball on past people once played to him, not chasing for 90 minutes like Dunne or Stanno.

Once he gets a goal in open play he'll perk up.

he doesnt commit to anything makes half hearted attempts to gain the ball, and the one he missed a blind cripple would of scored get rid and play nichols more!

He has the ability to <cliche alert> terrorise and rip apart defences. As an example, the way he played away to Bristol Rovers last season showed that. He cut in from the left time and again and the defence and they had no idea how to deal with it.

As others have said though, he does seem to expect the ball to him to land precisely where he wants it, but we're still much stronger with him.

Is he lazy? Not at all, IMHO, although he may give up a chase a little easily sometimes.

Completely agree with Log, his goal at Home Park last year will live long in the memory.

He did have a bad game & seemed out of sorts on Saturday. Unfortunately the guy in the OG who use to spend the whole match shouting abuse at Harley for not trying has found a new target for this season.[n]

Though some of us did try to tell him to shut up...

Hanging up the boots.
Lazy is probably the wrong word, however he is very frustrating to watch. You just wish we had someone with his ability and Dunne's workrate (O'Flynn can be this if he ever gets fit).

Nards is looking very dis-interested and needs to be dropped to shake him up a little, unfortunately we have no one to come in for him so haven't got a choice but play him.

That's still more effort than Ryan Harley put into tackling.
