Gawd knows why i've just thought of this, but...

In The Bowling Green, there used to be a photo of Mr Food next to the open fire. It may still be there but i haven't been in for a long time.

I vaguely remember someone telling me that he came from Exeter, but his accent would suggest otherwise. I vaguely remember someone else saying that he lived in Exeter.

Does anyone know whether there was a connection or if it was just a random photo?

Mr Food does indeed live in Exeter...he has done for years, although originally from Sunderland! A good friend of mine, he's a piano teacher...here's some sites with his music and, quite frankly, absolutely stunning piano playing...and of course, Mr Food (Dave used to record jingles with friends for Steve Wright's old Radio one show).

Thanks, Rael, that clears that one up then, and all before my tea.

Get me out of trouble Lionel and have a go at my crap question on the music redux thingy thread over your cup of Earl Grey and Sunday slice of battenburg. The question is suited to your particular analytical skills.

Back home in the village
He looks a cross between Joe Pasquale and Harry Enfield.

RIP Stanno, City Legend never to be forgotten
I have a signed photo of Mr Food.

His signature follows his one line of comment, which was simply:

"Burgers"

Quality.
