The over-arching role of a non-exec director is to challenge the executive. This is a little tricky in ECFC's case because the only executive who actually sits on the board is Tagg (as non-voting President) although I am sure the CEO and some of the senior managers attend from time-to-time. Frankly, it is absurd (in my view) that a) the CEO and Finance Director are not on the board and b) any executive director is denied a vote.

To further confuse an already confused situation, the last programme I have lists Jeremy Tripper as a director, but makes no mention of him being CEO.

That may be the case. It is out-of-date. Companies House shows his resignation from the board was effective 1/9/2023. I am sure he attends the board meetings but he is not a director so has no vote.

Regrdless of exec, non-exec voting or otherwise my email sent to him over three weeks ago hasn't even been acknowledged let alone responded to so the words associated with chocolate teapot come to mind
