In today's Guardian (oh, perleeze Toryboys, don't look away at this gem) Jenny Jones, the Green Party representative in the House of Lords,. writes a letter headed "The Dangers of Automated Facial Recognition".

Which is an entirely laudable question.

Just a shame that some poor (probably under-rewarded) sub-ed (or, more likely, automated compositing algorithm) duly tagged underneath it a common Guardian plea
"Do you have a photo you'd like to share with Guardian readers?"

That stupid "cat filter" thing that adds silly ears and stuff to people in online videos would normally, for me, be in the feckin' dire thread, but hearing that the Pakistan ruling party live streamed a press conference with this filter accidentally left on greatly amused me.

While out and about today..........a car with a number plate starting AR15, closely followed by a bus bearing the slogan "Seize The Cheese".

Some 20,000 fundamentalist (so-called) "Christians' have petitioned Netflix to pull their TV adaptation of Neil Gaiman's "Good Omens" on the grounds of its "utterly blasphemous content.

Such a shame that their "Good Lord" hadn't taken the trouble to inform them that it is, in fact, being broadcast by Amazon. :D
