Well done the team! And those who made it up there! How was it? I get the impression you out sang the home crowd????
No competition at all. Superb support throughout.

On way back from Leeds, what a brave performance. Have got a great video of our goal and on pitch celebrations. Will put it on youtube until it is taken off by the spoilsports.

Leeds United 2 - 1 Exeter
Jermaine Beckford scored twice, including a late header two minutes from time, as Leeds beat 10-man Exeter.

Beckford had missed two good chances before he coolly opened the scoring when left-back Ben Parker set him up for a low shot into the bottom corner.

Beckford headed against the bar, before former Leeds trainee Barry Corr saw red for elbowing new signing Michael Doyle.

But Alex Russell fired Exeter level, only for Robert Snodgrass and Jason Crowe to set up Beckford's late winner.

Leeds manager Simon Grayson told BBC Radio Leeds:

"It's very important to start the season in a positive manner. There has been some strange results today. It's all about winning the game on the opening day.

"I thought we started really brightly and could have put the game to bed within 30 minutes.

"Overall it was a half-decent performance - I feel there is more to come from us in certain areas of the pitch."

He also commented on the sending off saying " I didn't see it. All I saw was one of our players on the ground and their player arguing with the ref"

Great day out. Not happy with the referee.

Thought City battled well. A lot more possession in the second half. Great goal by Russell. We seem to be more solid after the sending off. Norwood was good. Still some thought needed about having one up front.

Pleased with Harley, Taylor, Edwards, Cozic and Norwood. Plenty to think about before Norwich next Saturday and QPR on Tuesday.

League 1? Is that the best you have?

Great Grecian support.

Would be interesting to try Norwood out from the start against QPR.

We are never going to win the League Cup but we have a chance against QPR,several strikers already out.Lets see what we can do with Mac & Norwood upfront & Stewart behind the strikers.Win/win situation, however it goes.

Missed out Marcus Stewart. He very much enjoyed his change of role in the second half working the left wing.

Well done today but it is a waste of time playing one up front

when we went 2 up front we did much better

defenders find it too easy to cope with a lone striker

Just got back to Northants and had my tea............well if that is the league's finest lets starting feeling a little more positive. We lacked some creative in the first half and stage fright took over for the first 20 minutes. Did not panic when we conceded and finished the half with 2/3 corners. The lino and the referee were awful. Corr needs to calm down abit.....but we played better with 10 men. We battled and got the free kick (down our end!) and Russell finished like Beckham against Greece. Cue mini pitch invasion from some City fans and over celebration. The home fans got alittle twichy in their sofas in the stands, they expected to be 3 nil up by this point. Some were even leaving at 1 1.

The killer goal was tiredness and 10 men. The little lad that evaded two stewards and almost caused a punch between some of the Leeds dead heads and their own stewards - priceless!

Well done City and well done the 3,000 City fans who got louder and louder!

Thought your support was excellent today and a good performance on the pitch as well, Not making excuses but Leeds were poor today but when you have a goalscorer like Beckford your always in with a shout. The highlight for me though was the pitch invasion by the eight year old Leeds fan but sad to say him and his dad were escorted out of the ground, apologies for the stewards right set of tw*ts but you did risk it with the mini pitch invasion seen it on numerous occasions when the Leeds fans have joined in (usually Millwall lol).As for the Leeds home support its always quiet always has been since the ground became all seater but like yourselves away from home its another story as you will witness in your home game against us. Hope you had a safe journey home and if you play like you did today will have no problem staying in this league.
