Really disappointed that Frances Farley on behalf of the club took it up the arse on this occasion, and disappointed also that the undoubted belligerence of the Leeds fans was not commented on.
Sums it up for me.

I know lots of local Lads who support Leeds.

I've seen Harry Enfield's Yorkshire character - "I say what I liiiiiike, and I liiiiiike what I blooody well say."
I've met lots of Yorkshire people, and admired their bluntness and honesty.

I've heard stories about the Leeds 'hoolies', but as I'd never come across them in all my years of watching footy, I had an open mind, I've never hated the team or their fans.

Nothing prepared me for the nastiness and bitterness and vitriol of SOME of their fans.

After that date in January, I hope the team crashes and burns this season. And every season.

As for the fans, the tannoy announcements were relentless, it was clear from my spot in the Flybe Stand that the stewards (not the Police, they really need to hang their heads in shame over the whole incident) did their best to move the Leeds fans along. It was clear that the attitude was from the Leeds fans "Fook um, I got here early, I'm not moving."

And as for the w*nkers who got tickets in the away end, what a bunch of complete c*nts.
We've all done it, desperate to see a match you couldn't get a ticket for, so gone in the away end.
The order of the day is to watch the match, keep your head down, and be quietly chuffed if it goes your way.

Not good enough for Leeds fans apparently.
Strolling up and down the thoroughfare next to the touchline, when finally (our stewards weren't great in this department) challenged, one of the gobsh*ts said "we're not in anyone's way, are we?" turning in our direction.

When I told him my 7 year old couldn't see the match because of his antics, he launched into an exceptionally foul mouthed tirade. What a man he is, there was me, my 7 year old on 1 side, and 2 women on the other.

I don't want to get all keyboard warrior, but I would probably never get tired off thumping his face. I really don't need to be fighting in front of my child, and I really don't want a ban from SJP.

As I said, Leeds fan's previous bad behaviour was water off a duck's back to me, I thought most of the hype was media.

I do know there must be some good ones, but for me, f*ck 'em now.

Hmm

Shortly before 3pm Exeter officials made a loudspeaker announcement asking Leeds fans in the home areas to move to the away section. They also threatened any travelling supporters with ejection if they were found in home areas after the game kicked off. Around 100 took up the offer and were escorted towards the away end.

At the same time a similar number of fellow Leeds fans were also outside the away end with many of these claiming their delayed arrival was caused by the police’s decision to hold Leeds coaches at the Moto services on the M5.

In the fourth minute, with more than 100 fans still queuing to get in to the away end, Exeter scored. People then poured into the ground in an attempt to see what was happening and a dangerous bottleneck built up immediately inside of the turnstiles with the situation worsening as yet more crowded in behind them.
You can see mobile phone footage of the incident from the following links: ‘Exeter V Leeds fans’ and ‘Leeds@Exeter’.

A dangerous situation arose as more people came through the turnstiles and added to the crush. Thankfully police and stewards, assisted by St John Ambulance staff, reacted to the problem and people were pulled clear or climbed a wall to escape the mêlée. Fortunately no-one was seriously hurt.
You see the problem with that is the report claims the turnstiles can handle 1200 people an hour but according to the Police & Club on the day that number was 450 per hour.

Now a few quick sums will tell you that even if to were to believe the 1200 that only equstes to 20 per minute or one every 6 seconds through each of the open turnstiles which I'm sure you'll all agree is not going to happen with the most modern grounds let alone when an operator has a kid with him letting her tear off the stubs.

The 450 figure given on the day equates to 7 people per minute through the turnstiles...hardly pouring through either way is it?

Thought that the leeds f c and the fans in general , made me feel very welcome at Elland road, and provided a good, well managed

and safe day out, we didn't return the compliment.

And really we should apologise UNRESERVEDLY for the way the club and the police handled the Leeds fans

we are quick and happy enouigh to take peoples money we should provide a decent standard of service. we failed .

Idiots or no idiots They are hardly a new element to football crowd control management, we should have been able to manage the

situation, we failed, end off.

And I keep on meaning to start a new 'chant of the season' thread up

And top of the pops for me Was up at Elland road, the 'we never lost to histon', was just funny.

Just asking questions. Any point you would wish to disagree with?

Good man.

Aye we lost at Histon but we more than made up for it this season knocking the Scum outta the cup.

Shame we've been sh*t since.
