Does anyone know what has happened to lee Holmes recently
Last saw him at warmup at Stevenage

He has been a good player over a long career. However, I can only see him getting even in the matchday 18 this season if Williams is injured. Surely Sparkes, Jay and Seymour deserve their chance off the bench?

Different sort of player; Fisher is a striker and presumably cover for Bowman. Holmes can't do that.

But with Seymour on the bench and lee Martin also being able to play cf is fisher needed more than Holmes

Lee Martin playing centre forward? Where d'ya get that from? Holmes will be a bit player this season. Not his fault, but constantly injured and that situation is not likely to improve as he gets older.

But Jay and Seymour, and even arguably Sparkes, play different positions to Holmes. Matt Taylor said that Williams is carrying an injury so Lee Martin may well start on Tuesday. If Sparkes is needed at left back then Holmes is the only other natural wide player in the squad so it would be useful if he is fit enough to be on the bench and maybe come on for the last 15 or 20 minutes.
