He barely played.
If he'd played at Wembley, we'd probably be in League 1 now.

Getting back to the thread, anything below playoffs is a step in the wrong direction. I doubt we will make it though but not because of selling Ollie (who was excellent in some games and disappeared in many (including the playoff final where he was dreadful)) but because all other teams have made significant improvements to their squads and we haven't.

Yes, he definitely would have saved both goals. I'm sure of that. Definitely. Oh yes.

The Guardian (natch) has an interesting article about the forthcoming season. Some very strange choices, in my view, of who will be there or thereabouts;

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/aug/01/league-two-preview-2017-18

He seems to have assembled the information by gleaning it from a very strange range of sources.

The When saturday Comes pre-season preview has a table composed from predictions from one correspondent from each club. The table ends up quite similar to the Guardian's prediction

We have the fourth highest ranking, with an average prediction of sixth or seventh.

The Guardian Review last season wasn't too far off the mark, well, at one end of the table at least.

Tis seems to think Mansfield will be there or thereabouts as well.

Think you have got this all wrong. They are tipping the same clubs that everyone else is tipping at both ends.

It may be that they are all wrong but I don't see any 'very strange choices'.

Written for people who know little about league two. I'd take issue with us needing to rebuild, we've only lost two regular first team players (and one of them, Stacey, was on loan anyway) so I'd say we must be one of the most settled sides in the League. Evans has signed 13 players FFS!
