At the Soundart Radio board meeting on Monday night, I was sat next to our newest board member, Janie Grace.

Janie is a Fellow of the Royal Television Society, Janie is a children's advocate of long standing. Her specialism began at the start of her career at BBC Radio Sheffield, where she devised the station's first children's programme. She went on to join the Jackanory team within the Children's Department at BBC Television Centre as a Director. She then crossed over to ITV, working for TVS progressing through the roles of Senior Researcher, Director, Producer, and Executive Producer. Janie was a member of the winning Meridian Licence Bid team and subsequently became Meridian's Controller of Children's and Daytime Programmes (1991 -1995).

She moved into the multi-channel arena as Managing Director of Nickelodeon UK and launched the UK's first dedicated pre-school channel, Nick Jr., in 1999. Janie was ITV Network Controller of Children's and Youth Programmes (2000 - 2003) and Managing Director of English National Ballet (2003 - 2005). She has served on the Teachers TV Board since its inception and also works as a Consultant within the dual fields of the Arts and Children's Television.

Neither have I. Nice write up though, obviously not a copy and paste job though.

I'm not sure G_I_E has quite cottoned on to the "famous" bit in the threat title! :p

Me neither.

Famous means famous not minted.

I would also preclude anyone that was famous for being minted or for being on the tele, famous should be reserved for those with some sort of talent that has brought them into the public eye, although minted people generally have a talent for making money I would disqualify them from being famous unless they could do some more significant party trick. And politicians who are only famous because of the media, but of course hardly anybody would be famous without the media, that slag Bleakley for one, talentless person from the box, shagging a footballer, I couldn't pick her out of a line up, wtf ?
