Very true. Wheeler was on 61% when I voted this morning,now 35%.

How many times have you seen Marquis play? I would hazard a guess not more than once and not at all during the relevant month (January). I think the player of the month vote is pointless- fans will rarely vote for someone who plays for a team that is not their own so it all comes down to who can mobilise/who has the largest fan base. I'm just not sure how you can criticise other fans for voting for their player when we are doing exactly the same thing.
