So only 6 clubs had higher highest price than us. Look forward to falling back into the pack this year then.

Worth remembering those are full prices, not including early bird discounts (for us at least, not sure about others).

Edit. A quick look at Blackpool prices shows that the £289 price is only valid for renewals, in the family stand and bought in conjunction with a junior season ticket (£49). Their cheapest full price, which would be comparable with the prices listed for us would be £399.

.............If we want 6k at SJP on a regular basis then the only way to do that is win games and play good, exciting football that people are willing to part with their hard earned cash to watch it, It means signing good players, Not just to sell them off in 12-18 months but keep them here long enough so we're not struggling and others will want to sign for us because of the football we play and the quality we have.

*Other ideas/views most welcome, Remember it is all about opinions and I'm sure there are loads on here.
Quote from the OP - seems it's not the only way when you consider that horrendous run, and being the season following the promotion bounce - would it be a stretch to claim we now have 5-6k diehard fans in L1 ? Years ago used to be able to guarantee around 3k diehards would turn up regularly in L2, rain or shine, on runs good and poor.

Indeed so. I think these prices are misleading. On several of the clubs' websites, you can't even see next year's prices unless you register. Also, several clubs have different price levels (even at early bird prices) between ST renewals and new purchasers.

Our adult early bird prices (ref. the club website) are Seated:- £464 Standing:- £338 The number of full price tickets sold each year is always a very small proportion of the total.

clubs can reduce prices for individual games (Bolton last season) or can introduce categories. I believe the only rule is that away fans have to be charged no more than the home fans for similar accommodation (I.e if it's 21 quid for us on the Bank it's the same for them)
Unless you are called Bristol Rovers 😉

Thanks for this - was about to post a screengrab of the receipt for mine at Pompey which was £50-odd quid cheaper than the price being quoted; and also making the point that the cheapest -> most expensive comparisons are usually a bit misleading as several clubs have variable pricing, whereby there are a relative small number of either/both the cheapest or most expensive tickets.

Apologies if I've said this elsewhere, and not being dismissive on pressures on anyone's finances/income as most of us are feeling some degree of pinch at the moment, but I reckon L1/2 football tickets have become relatively cheap compared to a pint/burger/kebab over recent years; following a couple of deades where they went up more significantly in real terms. Happy to be proven wrong if anyone has the stats - and maybe it's different from club to club.

I love that our club have the City for All scheme.
And I really hope everyone who can’t go to a match for one reason or another make their ticket/s available.
It’s rubbish if genuine City supporters aren’t able to support us through lack of funds.

Of course the question remains as to whether season tickets of any variety are actually more profitable than pay on the day punters, especially for clubs with smaller grounds like us. Yes it's money coming in at a time when there is little coming in and it's guaranteed income no matter how well the season is going on the pitch, but having to declare a sell out when thousands of ST holders are evidently not in attendance is a waste of space and premium rate money. I appreciate there is a scheme whereby unused tickets can be returned but not sure on the take up of that service. It seemed a lot of "sell outs" were no where near a full ground last season.
