Reading the tone of some of the letters on twitter though the writers clearly don't share your views and vision...

I noticed a handful, but rather than arguing with them it’s up to us to discourage them from creating a divide and encouraging them to stick together and get everyone on side for the good of the club. [G]

It's quite simple : there are two issues and they don't need to be conflated. One issue is the team, and one is the manager. In my opinion the team as always should be supported fully - and they will need that support - with hopefully a happy ending. The manager is the other issue, and in my opinion he should not receive abuse during these remaining, crucial matches.
I also think he should not be criticized if he rests players for the Colchester game and fans shouldn't overreact if that game doesn't go well. At the end of the season lets just see what happens.

I doubt anyone particularly cares about the friendly on Saturday.

I imagine the attendance will not be too high, because it's importance is relatively low and people will want to save for playoffs and maybe Wembley.
