Both Mr and Mrs Friend were great and we had a lovely chat.
Mrs Friend told me that George is on 24 hour recall back to WWFC if they need him plus theydon't want him cup-tied to anyone else.

Apparently Millwall is a very difficult club to play at and the fans get on the backs of any players who in their opinion aren't playing well or make a mistake. (Heard that before somewhere...........)

BTW it was true about him selling eggs to other Wolves fans as it said in whichever paper reported it!

Having been there it is true. If you are not one of the popular players you might as well leave.

Friend played his second game for Southend on Saturday:

"well it seems that playing for Southend is as intimidating for Friend as Millwall was.
He is awful, full of individual errors, no crossing ability and to cap it off today he managed to miss an open goal. Lucky for us Stockport were totally inept - we have a fit, hungry Johnny Herd on the bench, who should be in the team asap."

Poor george that won't do his confidence much good will it. Lets hope he settles and puts in the great performances he is capable of.
