I'd say his family are pretty well off by Devon standards.
Would they be suitable guests at Tebbern Towers?

Corbyn is scum to me, A strong word I know, Even now he's not accepting the blame and says the party needs to take time to reflect and he'll remain leader till the spring! FFS!! Go now!! You sir are the reason you've had your worst results since the 1930's. You and you alone are to blame for this!!
In the wake of a bruising and punishing election defeat such as that the voters inflicted on Labour yesterday it can be a good idea for the defeated leader to stay on for a while to take the shine off the new ball.

A common reaction to the plight the Labour party finds itself in is to choose a similar leader and lurch even further from the centre ground. Labour has a few years to sort itself out with the majority Boris has put together before there is another election.

A period of serious, critical self examination and reflection might be appropriate to decide where they are going as a party and who is the right person to lead it in that direction.

I know nothing of him and his background but I do not have an issue with him being rich as long as he pays his taxes and looks after his constituency.

You don't think CW would have done a better job of putting the people of East Devon first? Free of whip, answering only to the people she represents?

She could possibly have looked after her constituents well as do many MP's such as Ben Bradshaw as a single example. I do not really know a lot about her other than what I have read TBH.

The problem for an Independent is that they have no leverage in the same way as an MP for the party in government. That said, with a big majority the government is less at risk from its own MP's and may not need to dole out constituency "bribes" to keep members onside.

Think how well the DUP did in getting a big bung from Teaser in 2017. Influence and leverage.

Think you're being a bit overly harsh there. Labour members voted overwhelmingly to have Corbyn as Leader (twice). The winning margin over his rivals was by so much it negated any entryism.

And with Corbyn they knew what they were getting: a proud socialist, the very antithesis to Tony Blair.

Labour members wanted this and now they must own it. They need to decide whether they want to follow down the same path or become electable again.

Not Johnson's fault. He's only been P.M a couple of months. It's the Tories over the last 10 years that have let everything fester
Ooops.! He is a Tory 🤔

It may sound harsh but I'm angry, Angry that his Brexit stance was awful and himself was toxic and now we have a Government that can do whatever it wants, The opposition can put down amendment after amendment but they will all be defeated and when Corbyn comes to the despatch box on his side he will be ignored and laughed at, He'll moan about this and that but those behind him and in the country doesn't want him, The longer he stays the worse it will be, He needs to resign ASAP, Time to reflect with a temporary leader, Set in motion a leadership campaign and get a new, Forward, modern thinking person in. While he's still there Labour is unelectable and no influence at all

Can we also have a labour leader that hasn't been to private school, hasn't lived in London or the South East and who comes from a working class background. Otherwise its more of the same.
