He played pre-season so don't think he is injured. He wasn't bought I would imagine with the expectation of playing 1st team football yet. The jump from League Two to top end of Championship is a very big one. The established defenders are experienced pros and it will take JS time to adjust before he is ready to compete for a spot. I would be surprised if he plays much more than 3-4 times in cups this season? Seems a lot of money to us but for Championship clubs more of an 'investment to be paid back in a few years time

Why ?? 750k for a championship club isn't big money.

They will have signed him as a player for the future, perhaps they will look to loan him out to a league 1 club for part of this season.

I rate him as a player however I didn't expect him to be playing for them immediately.
