Ringo wasn't a awful drummer , but Beatles songs were never that complicated to drum.

Reminds me of an excellent sketch on Smith & Jones some years back with a sound engineer. He was sitting at a mixing desk, and was showing what the buttons did.

"This...is a cymbal"

"CRASSSSSSSSSHHH!" (imagine that is a cymbal sound)
