Classic deflection from his own failings. Failed everywhere he's been, the ronseal headed whopper.

Anyway, if our wages are higher (doubtful) then they need to ask how a club entirely funded by trust members and a small home attendance and gaining income by selling players can out pay a club with twice the number of fans and supposedly funded by a wealthy chairman.
Freudian slip there Denzil? :D

All 3 of our big signings have played at a higher level so if you look at the club from afar you'd guess they're probably on decent wages?

But Martin came with some very iffy reviews from Oxford fans. A few Notts County fans felt Forte was unlucky to be let go (but his record was hardly stunning). Law is just different class at this level and a joy to have in the side. We've lost a club captain (JMT) and another promising centre back (Storey), one of our classiest ever players and highest earners (Harley) and Forte has effectively replaced Reuben Reid so all we've done is replace players we have released/sold on. Perfectly normal transfer business. Just so happens all 3 have been fantastic additions.

All 3 have been superb and made us stronger (or as strong as before) but I can't believe we've splashed out crazy money on them. Salford City, we ain't.

What he really means is that he is failing at Swindon and is desperately seeking excuses. However, poor show to try to justify the fact by criticizing our club....Karma will come soon when once again he gets booted out of a club, whereupon he will say that Swindon had no ambition. You'd think after failing so much he'd keep his trap shut.

Don’t think so Pete. He’s commenting on Brown’s claims of our financial performance rather than our footballing performance.

I agree with this. All three will be on decent money, but not ridiculous wages.

The other thing we now offer, courtesy of £4m transfer income summer 2017 - summer 2018,is longer contracts. In summer 2017 when we lost not just Watkins but also Wheeler and looked rather short of attacking threat, Stockley and Boateng ( and Moxey) all arrived with 3 year deals. I suspect Law and Aaron Martin also have 3 year deals ( not so sure re Forte as he is 32 and relies on pace).

Another thing to note about the signings are that he has signed players that can actually play, not players who are crocked and take up some of the budget, by not signing crocks you sign less but get so much more quality

Aaron Martin made 30 appearances in two seasons at Oxford - not sure if limited by injury or just not selected. If the former then arguably we did sign a "crock" who has belied that this season.

Ah but a fit again crock who was being named on subs bench and not getting game time, not a crock who is let go by former club and we will pay whilst they recover there is a difference -Ryan Brunt for example (7 goals in 12 for Bath City)

I was listening to Chris Errington Plymuff reporter talking about signing players with past injury records ,
Saying that most fans don’t understand that most clubs in the lower leagues have to gamble on bringing in
These type of players ,as if they had no injury problems ,teams like Arygle couldn’t afford to sign them.
