When we play Luton, we should have half an eye on goal difference. Beat them and win our games in hand and we'll be level on points. Maybe we should think about an extra man up top, make sure we score enough to sneak ahead of them in the table.

Reality check please they have a goal difference of 36 i.e 31 better than us. We have only 19 games more to play so the chance of theirs diminishing and ours increasing sufficiently to overtake them is to say the least infinitesimal.

Christ. Did you even read my last post? Luton would need to lose a lot of games to reduce their goal difference.

If that happens we’d leapfrog them on points amassed (assuming we keep getting regular results), so therefore goal difference isn’t an issue.
