Tis acknowledging that there is real competition for places has got to filter through to the players & result in improved performances.Get the impression the perfect first 11 for Tis is still a work in progress & is promising for the coming season.

Weather is distinctly autumnal today. Wind has veered round to the south-west and has increased in strength to 4-5,(bringing lots of leaves off the trees Should be a good day for a team which likes to play the ball on the ground!
Er... there's been an increase in wind strength to 5-6 during the last couple of hours, and as I set off for the ground nearly all vestiges of the sun have disappeared under a light grey cloud cover. It will be a good t*ss to win today, and play the first half towards the St James Road end, as the barometer is continuing to drop- which could presage even stronger gusts to come- an even better reason for trying to play football, rather than hoofball...

Another lacklustre Tisdale side, whilst better players sit on the bench or don't get a look in - be lucky to get a point from this unless he starts subbing early.

Fleetwood

Subs
Troy

Not exactly radical changes, but no Sir Rob in for Troy. Russell and fleets return, Dunne gets another chance to start.

Interview with Hartlepool manager about the impact of long journeys. Was think 'what a cry baby, we've got it just as bad' but then he mentions us as one of the teams that has to put up with very long journeys so he is forgiven!

Doesn't seem to affect us too much, our record in the North was pretty good last season - wins at Macclesfield, Bury, Port Vale, Lincoln and Rotherham. And we've already won at Carlisle this season!

I guess it helps to be sponsored by an airline though.

No Troy, no Stans, no Logan, still playing Russell.
