If Carlsberg did football clubs...
It would be interesting to see if we had actually boycotted.

Two absolute tonkings did us no favours whatsoever as a club.

On the contrary, perhaps the win in the dead rubber at Swindon raised moral slightly.

Good luck to the first club that takes a stand against the direction this tournament has gone/is going. The EFL either won't allow it or will come down on them like a ton of bricks.

We had so many injuries during the group stage that we had no choice in picking very weak sides , as we needed every fit body to try to compete in the league, and had a couple of important league cup games which were higher priority and still a struggle to put out a side with a strong bench.

Had we been playing after Xmas we could have played fringe players with one or two starters and been competitive. It was only a few years ago we very nearly beat Pompey with an inexperienced team to get to the final.
