It's sunny, but during the last three hours there have been heavy showers. We've had 2mm since 10:00 yesterday. The thermometer says 4c, but by the time you factor in the force 4 North Westerly wind it's bitingly cold. There's 20% grey cloud cover, but the clouds come and go and it currently looks as though we might be building up for another set of showers. It's going to be cold at SJP this afternoon especially during the second half when it starts getting dark. Update at 13:00. It's just a question of whether my optimism about the result continues until then.

Never done this before
The usual Saturday-morning-of-a-home-game feeling: hoping for the best; fearing the worst.

Come on City.

I'm hopeful of a late winner by the sub, on the back of a rousing rendition of "...YA DONUT, WOT YA DOIN ?..."

Still chilly. It's 4c, but there's a biting north westerly that threatens to increase in strength this afternoon. Most of the sunshine now replaced by high level cloud with just infrequent sun shows. There's also, from time to time, a trace of the wet stuff in the wind. Fascinating conditions in which to play our own brand of "walk it into the goal" football.

Bennett not playing is a good sign. But no harley or noble means butterfingers is in midfield? I'll go for a 2 nil defeat.
