Great way to start the weekend - since he signed Duffy's probably been our best player. So that's the heart of the defence sorted then, and it makes the close season not quite such a worry now.

I was going to say that too, but then I thought...

With Matt and Rob moving/calling it a day, there is still a rather large void to be filled.

I want a big brick sh*t house in the mix with the more cultured boys... please Mr Tisdale....

Neither Edwards nor Taylor played that much last season, especially during the latter half of the season, and even more especially when we won what was it, eight out of our last nine games.

So I'd argue that there isn't that much of a void to fill at all. It would have been different 12 months ago, but not now.

Excellent news to be starting Saturday with. A bit more optimism for next season.

Backing Gary Caldwell, thanks Matt and good luck.
don't know but official site worded the link as "welsh international will be here next season" which suggests one year but apart from tully they don't usually give full details so still hoping its for two seasons as quite a lot of players currently not out of contract will be running out in 2012.

One-year contact according to Echo man @JonLewis_ - who also mentions Duffers' resemblance to comedian Iain Lee - over on Twitter.

Duffy isn't retiring yet so you'd assume he needs a pair of boots at the start of next season, whether that be for Exeter city or someone else. The boots in the crowd thing is a total red herring and should always be ignored.

Tis won't say how long it is as we don't want our competitors to know who is on the Market next summer and who isn't ;) Shrewd.
