He's been a victim of circumstance so far. He came in when two of our wide players were performing above expectation - and they've continued to do so. One was nominated for L1 player of the month for August and has subsequently had a call up for the full Ireland international squad; the other had a nomination for L1 player of the month for September. They've scored 12 goals and have about 10 assists between them.

Our number 10 (who wasn't earmarked to play there at the start of the season) hasn't put a foot wrong so Jackett can't drop him.

In his favour, we've a Freight Rover Trophy game midweek (he'll start) and I would fully expect him to start the following league game as our Ireland call-up will be on international duty, and Wheeler's other competition for that starting berth is out injured for a couple of weeks.

I'm looking forward to seeing him start a match as he's only had about an hour in total across the league matches so far.
Good news for you that you're doing so well that he's surplus to requirements.

It's a long season and we'll dip. In truth we're not playing consistently well - but we seem to be able to grind out a result when that's the case.

Lowe/Curtis/Evans will have injuries or dips in form. If Wheeler takes his chance when he gets in he'll get a run as Jackett is that sort of manager. I was excited when we signed Wheeler given what he did with you. I'm hopeful that he'll prove a really positive acquisition.

Great to see you doing well under Matt Taylor.

Love to see him back at City, nightmare would be him going to Argyle, Adams has always shown interest.

MKD is clearly another possible destination for Wheeler..
