Middx surrendered meekly to Worcestershire - not good news if we want to gain promotion - although England newbie Steve Finn took 9-37 in the Worcs 2nd Inns for 14 wickets in the match.

Good for Worcester though Jason; they have had a tough time with the huge exodus of their best players.

Steve Finn looks a find but the wicket was clearly good for the bowlers. Still, 9 for is good on any pitch.

Yeah, Worcs have had a tough time with many players leaving.

Our batting will be less fragile once Owais and Eoin Morgan return from the IPL (although Morgan is likely to miss a large chunk of the season with England).

Early season in England with the ball swinging all round the shop...

not convinced at international level.

Finn was a bit of a hit and miss against Bangladesh but he is only 20 isn't he so I think he is one for the future without a doubt

but 9 wicket haul is impressive

Ps: Marcus Trescothick will be fine he is still good enough to walk in the England team

But you had Strauss against Worcs and will lose him come the Test Matches.
