I don't understand why Holmes is ever sub - proper footballer and quality on the ball, I reckon he could do a similar job for City like Carey does for Argyle in the no10 role if played there or given opportunities.
My guess is that either he's not 100% fit or that he doesn't fit into the "keep it tight" method which Tisdale often employs in the first half.

Coventry going well, City stuttering, this has got away win written all over it.

1-0 City with a goal and a majestic captain's performance from JMT.

A stressful 2-1 win for City.

I sincerely hope so Mike, even if it is stressful. We really need three points from this. No points could see us down to 12th, with Colchester, Swindon and Newport in with a good chance of leapfrogging us.

I really like Holmes but there’s no way he could do a job like Carey does as his end product is often so poor. Over his career, his assist and goal scoring record is not what’s it should be. He doesn’t whip the ball in when crossing, he doesn’t have a particularly strong shot and it’s only once a blue moon that we get a Cheltenham away style winner. Real shame.

Thinking it's a surefire defeat I'm afraid given our recent form. But will hope for lucky 1-1 draw with our goal deflected off the ref's backside.

Just seen the weather forecast for tomorrow and I predict an abandoned/postponed match.

BBC suggests the rain will pass further west. Gonna p*ss down in Cornwall, though.

We are awful away. Coventry are decent at home and on good form.

4-0 Loss.
Oops I thought this was away. Well as we are at home I'm going to reverse my score. Our home record is excellent, Coventry's away record is average at best, so 4-0 City victory.

Goals from Stockley x 2, Holmes, and Macca.
