Don't worry, Legohead. You don't make the saves or score the goals. Have no fear. City walk away with a 2-0 win and are masters of the universe. Next home game sell-out with fans sitting on the cowshed roof and hanging from trees.

Re: Coventry City v Exeter City Match Day Thread.

This is the first of the "former big clubs" that we'll be playing. Generally more old Second Division or Championship. A really nice ground too with a big pitch. Not that any of that will effect our buays! I'll go 1-3 to City.

Our excellent run doesn't have to end today. Looking forward to a great day. Barring injuries am expecting the same starting line up.

Jason's match preview for those who haven't yet read it http://www.exeweb.com/2017/09/22/next-up-coventry-city-vs-exeter-city/

Sure doesn't Hants , we have the firepower up front and a solid defence plus an excellent bench to call on.Confidence must be high.
All good things come to an end , but hopefully not today.

15 league games away to Coventry over the years. 8 defeats 6 draws and just one win (in 1933). We last played them in the league in 1958.

We beat them away 1-0 in the first round of the FA Cup in 1956. It was said at the time that George Hunter beat them by himself.

It was at about that time v Coventry that George H broke his leg (or was it his jaw?) Reg Matthews in goal for Coventry; happy days!
