Good question.

Always remember to finalise your DVD once burnt. If you don't, it simply won't play. Your DVD player will not recognise the format. And that's no fun!

Also, you may need to check out Codecs. You'll need to do a simple download and install, then Bob's yer uncle.

Intelligent question.

DVD players won't recognise discs unless they've been finalised when they were recorded, this could be your problem here. Alternatively it may be as simple as downloading a codec for WMP or VLC, a simple google search should be able to help you.
