Wasn't there, but sounds quite similar to the Grimsby match... A game were very much in before going behind. Then we fall apart a bit while chasing the game and end up getting beaten comfortably. Think this is a weakness... Bit of naivety, while chasing games. Have to build your way back in and keep focused defensively. Can quickly go from losing narrowly to being out of the game.
Part of this would be that the players have to ignore the supporters. If you are playing well and creating chances but gone behind, hold your nerve that you are doing the right thing and not get carried away and leaving ourselves open. Some supporters tend not to agree and can get vocal about it but the players have to be professional enough to not be affected. Listening to Matt after Saturday, also not get carried away with themselves!

Needed to take it with his left foot. Would probably have been a penalty if he had.

That extra second of hesitation gave the defender the chance to make the well timed tackle, easily have been a pen & red card if he got it wrong.

Yes, it was having to run around the ball to get it on his right foot. Gave the defender the time to get back and make the tackle, also meant that he did not shield the ball from the defender. He would have to go through Lee to get to the ball which would have been a penalty but probably not red card due to the double jeopardy law.

If he hits it a second before, he scores!

Just a lack of strikers instinct, plain and simple.
