Based on what Tis said in todays Echo, assuming it's correct, he thought the Fleetwood deal was dead in the water, so it's possible that on 31st (or whenever the interview took place) there were no deals on the table, and things then changed. It's possible the interview also took place before Jones' injury was known to it's full extent as well which would explain why Perryman pulled a rather large Oscar Janssen shaped rabbit out of his hat!

No!!! Just felt the OP was a bit lame considering the manager was quoted and all. My folks get the Echo so I read it when I'm home but don't quite get why some people on here are always having a pop. I'm in Bris and the paper here gives far less coverage to either club than City get. I suppose they have two to cover but still...
