Why is the Big Bank named the Bastin Stand?

It was either that or the Bell End. We went for Cliff instead since Colin Bell didn't play for us.

Remember him as landlord of the Horse and Groom(?) in Heavitree, although I was much too young to go in there. Apparently he had his England caps hung on the wall, until some person nicked them, or so I was told.
